I'M ALIVE!

Just felt like that needed to be stated. After soo many days of feeling like a run over marsbar, I am finally getting better. Physically and mentally.  I have been home from Japan in about two weeks now, and yes I know, shame on me for not writing in here. But I'm so tiiired at the moment. Pretty much right after we got home, the Danish convention Genki was held, and it was way too close to the WCS. But it was nice to see all my friends, and to get to wear one of my new cosplays - Winnowill from ElfQuest! There's some things I need to redo on her and I need to restyle the wig, then I'll go on a shoot with her :D

But anyway, I hope that I can get myself together and actually blog about the WCS at a point.

Yup, that was pretty much all from me at the moment. I'll try to change some things here on the blog and just blog in general, ahem. 

.. okay because I have been so absent I'll share some photos that the amazing Silas Kappel Staal took of me and my cosplaypartner Yoshu in over WCS Championship costumes, before we left for Japan :D

3 DAYS TO GO

Where did all the time go? What is all this? Where..what.. I... Jesus Christ it's all so close!

Okay so you might have gotten the point that I can't really grab the idea, that WCS is only three days away. It's been such a long journey, just to get to this point, and I am such a mix of feelings. All of my costumes and stuff are done, so I'm not stressing about that.. and we have practiced out performance quite a lot, so I'm  not that nervous about that either. It's just the sudden pressure I'm feeling of going there and people saying that they think we'll do great in the championship is bugging the hell out of me. I have heard people say they think we can get a high placement, and that scares the hell out of me. I don't want people to have expectations to us, we won't bring the same skit or the same costumes and just.. just no xD So I'm trying my best to just focus on the fact that I'll get to meet some amazing people with CRAZY cosplay skills! And get to meet so many new great people and have an awesome trip to a new country :D ... But geez I'm so scared haha x'D I just don't want to feel like I failed.. urgh.

Anyways, I'm using my free time before the WCS to clean the house, play some games and do some ugly sobbing because I'll miss all my friends so much</3 Wish I could have all of them with me for support.. And as personal slaves. IT'S GOING TO BE TOO HOT OVER THERE. But luckily we have one of the most amazing people I know, with us. So it won't be all bad<3

I think I'll make a huge WCS journal about every day when I get back, maybe while I'm there.. mostly for my own sake, so that I can remember everything in some years time, but also if you're WCS interested :)

Okay so.. that was a small peek of what's going on inside my little confused head. Happiness, excitement, scaredasshit and just.. yes everything really XD

So my days are now filled with nothing but cosplay as my holiday from school/work started - and thus I have time to write here ;D

A few weeks ago I helped my good friend out by making her prom dress^^ It wasn't very smart of me, seeing as I have my hands full, but what can you do. I'm fairly happy with the result, so that's that :) 

Life is good. 

Sometimes, we just have to remind ourselves of it.

There's a lot of things going on around me at the moment, and sometimes it can seem hard to catch my breath. Luckily everything is getting better (along side me progressing on my WCS stuff. hmpf.) and I'm starting to feel more at ease. 

I'm so nervous and excited for Japan, and the thought of there only being 24 days until we leave... It's crazy. It feels like we just walked of the stage at J-pop, confused, happy and scared out of our wids. Well I'm still all these things I guess, just more happy. There's a lot of anxiety involved in this that I didn't really see coming to be honest, which is ridiculous. Denmark is such a small country that we hardly get noticed during the WCS and therefore I have nothing to be scared of as such. Also, the danish cosplay community is very supportive and to be frank, just doesn't think much about it I think? That's my impression at least. Don't get me wrong here, I think people think of it as a cool thing and a great chance for Denmark, but compared to other countries cosplay communities we don't give a damn xD  But I still don't want to disappoint myself. I want to be able to look back at this with pride.. so that's what I hope will happen.. Cause changes are I won't be going again. 

So... a bit of a random rant about WCS her eon the blog, after a long time of absence.

You may have noticed that my pretty little picture to the left changed - yup - new cosplays! 

And besides Twisted Esmeralda which I have on showcase over there, I also debuted another costume recently. 

Katniss Everdeen - Hunger Games

So here you have some progress pictures and - oh, what do you know.. some small photoshoot pictures as well, with just about the best Peeta ever<3 

 The bow is one I bought from Faraos Cigar and then painted. It was black before.

 The arrows were some that my ever so faithful cosplay partner Yoshu gave to me, from her Natalia cosplay. I took the awful pointy ends of (I'm allowed to say that, I'm the one who made them for in the first place) and made some new nifty ones in wonderflex! Really happy about the result. I'm not good with props, but working on it!

The quiver is made out of a tube for posters that I got at the postoffice, covered with fabric and then very quickly painted. Now, the paint job on is HORRIBLE. It's made in a day, so what can you do, time pressure! The strap for it is an old belt I had.

The "glass" looking feather thing, is made out of Plexiglas which I was lucky enough to get help with from my dad. It took me half an hour to make one, then he and a friend came in and made like.. 15 in 10 minutes... But they also used the right tool so I didn't stand a chance.

So that was the progress of this cosplay. I really hope plan on making more of her outfits in the nearby future. I'm so in love with these books!

Oh and the location was a freaking BUSH. And Zarsu made that look like a forest. She got skills I tell ya!

I also had an amazing Effie Trinket with me that day, but we didn't get any pictures together ;_;

But she'll be cosplaying Finnick at a point, so I'll get some photos with her then! And we'll have a Effie there too! ... It's my plan to make everyone I know cosplay from this series.

And I can finally show some stuff to you guys! This is a cosplay I am working on for SVS-con this may :D 

You may have noticed I have a slight affection towards Disney and all that comes along with it *possesedCOUCGHpossesed* - SO ... YES, another disney cosplay! Come on, it's a tradition for my SVS conventions ;D

Anyway, I will be cosplaying as Esmeralda from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" - a character I love very much. So much spunk and awesomeness, HELL YES. (I have a thing for power women, who doesn't want to have that kind of courage?)

First of we have a extremely sexy picture of me in the skirt. Sweaters and skirts, it so works.

It was a very simple skirt to do, just a full circle cut out of fabric I have had lying around since... 2009 I think. But hey, it's fantastic to actually make a cosplay where I have not bought one single new thing. Only goes to show how much fabric and stuff I have around my room...

Anyway where was I... oh yes, simple circle skirt with elastic band at the top . SKIRT DONE SIR.

This is the underbust in it's progress. As mentioned before, none of the things I used for this cosplay was bought for this particular cosplay, the green fabric here was something I used for a headband last year. Now, that is very thin lining (I think that's  the right word?) fabric, and therefore it wouldn't have had enough power in it to actually sit proper on its own, so I put it on top of some stronger and more "hard" white fabric, to stabilize it. Next thing was just to put the gold stripes on, which I believe I did with glue... If I remember correctly. I then secured the bottom and top with some green "ribbon" ... Someone is in the need of a dictionary here.

The last thing I did was to sew on some small "hooks" (Where is that dictionary?!) at the back of it and it was ready to go!

The purple thing thing, from now on known as Steve, was made out of a half circle.

I made the shirt by altering a shirt pattern I have from school. I am not 100% satisfied with the puff in the sleeves, but I didn't have more fabric to change it, and it's not a fatal flaw, more just my personal taste in the game x'D

The wig is a old one I had bought for Mother Gothel, but for her it didn't have enough curls or "PUFF" .. But for Esmeralda it was just perfect! Her hair is puffed up the back, and to achieve that look I made a small "pillow" in the form of a half moon stuffed it with cotton and then sewed it onto the wig.
To cover it up, I cut off some lanes of the wig - not so much so that the wig would collapse - and glued those on top of the pillow.

Here you have it pretty much done! I want to make Steve a bit shorter though. Oh and the coins on the Steve is made out of FIMO clay, with carvings of a cross and some random pattern I made, painted with gold and black paint.

 But yes, done Wig, shirt, underbust and skirt - and I love it! 

There's nothing like being a Disney gal ;D Now just have to get a photoshoot done it this baby X'D

Also had a little make up test.. Where I was so lazy to only put in one lense, so retard pose for you guys!

Not much to say other than that.. Maybe I have lots to tell and just don't want to share? Maybe my entire life is a a secret and I am an agent >3

Oh! I start in school again tomorrow - hurray! It's going to be so nice going back and see everybody, and actually have something to do again, besides waking up and making cosplay. Shock, I know - but it gets boring after two months.

Carousel Horses

So! Here I am again, hurhur.

Yesterday I hosted my birthday brunch for my lovely family, and it was great! I saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time, and my mom had made sooo much delicious food - go mom! I haven't really been eating sugar for a long time, so all the cake, candy and NUTELLA made me sooo hyper by the end of the night haha x'D

Anyways, I got presents which all pretty much had the same purpose:

 Fond my trip to Japan! 

You might have noticed the two balls of rise, which looks kinda odd, but I love them! Not only are they super cute, but they are filled with coins in between the rise! So I had to sit and dig them out with the sticks X'D It was great fun, and a really creative way to give money in~ 

I also got four Disney DVD's for my collection :D

Which makes my collection look like this now~! I still can't forgive the Disney crew for making the Tangled DVD like this... it ruins my look man D: BUT - oh the sight of it makes my Disney heart happy<3

So I will now pop one of them on, and continue my WCS sewing!

A very happy unbirthday!

Oh no wait.. this actually WAS my birthday BD Or, the 24th of february was. But I have been to lazy to update my blog... agaaaain.But what, I don't really think people read this anyway x'D

Anyway - it was a very nice day! I got my present from my parents the day before my actual birthday, because my dad was going to Barcelona the next day with work.. lucky bastard! 

But I got some great presents from them! At the moment I have no money at all, and that bugs me quite a bit seeing as I want to save up money for my Japan trip xD But they gave me some money for it ;w; And a travel book for Japan as well! aaand a sweet little book with japanese drawings in~

Oh and look at that sweet Sherlock Holmes drawing! It's actually one dear Lavi made me two years ago~.. Two years... urgh time flies! And you can see one of the shelves I've put up in my room here as well :D Needed somewhere to put more of my film replicas and treasures X'D Will take a picture of it one day! 

.. Where was I? Oh yaerh! So my mom was super sweet and made a complicated meal I had asked for, thanks mommy~ 

The next day was really nice and relaxed - the way I like it! I baked a cake, got my room cleaned a bit, and then went to Roskilde with my mom to buy some fabric I needed for a WCS costume. After that we went to our local shopping mall, where I got a lot of new clothes - oh yaerh! And after that she forced me to this "fish spa" thing, where we had small fish eat our feet... God lord it tickled so much I thought I should die, and mind you I'm not that ticklish!

Later on Yoshu came by and gave me a present too :D A present I have waited a month to find out what was, since it arrived at her house while I was there haha X'D It was a wig for my parade costume, more WCS stuff man, and it's so pretty~! I had actually teased her and said she in no way would dare to buy  me a wig before I had given it my approval, so she was nervous that poor thing x'DD But I love it!

Lavi had made me the most adorable video and... urg yes I cried XD<3 And as if all of this wasn't enough, I also got so many sweet notes and messages from people wishing me a happy birthday, thanks to each and everyone who wrote me!<3 

Oh! Besides all these awesome gifts I got on the day, I had also received amazing gifts before! In London Barbara gave me a ticket to "Les Misérable" where we got to see two of our favorite west end stars!! MUCHO LOVE ON YOU GIRL! And as if that wasn't enough, she got me "Much ado about Nothing" a play staring my absolute favorite actor, Mr. David Tennant! And the always gorgeous Catherine Tate! So this has been watched maaaany times now:D

So on saturday I will be hosting a birthday brunch for my family, when my dad finally comes home X'D And that is what is going on with me at the moment >D 

Oh wait! Actually had another thing to share as well X'D You see, these days I have a truly messed up body clock and the past days I have been feeling a bit down in the dumps, so I was up at 3am this night, and decided that I had to much Harry Potter stuff on my walls, and that I wasn't satisfied with this painting: 

So I got it down and started painting over it.. I didn't aim for something perfect, it was just a spur of the moment thing and I wanted this on my wall, cause it's a saying I will be using a lot in my life from now on I think :) 

So now this hangs in the corner and makes me smile<3

Hold On To Those Dreams!

HUR - So what have I been doing these past.. 2odays is it? Good lord - bad blogger I am! 

Anyway I have been home most of the time to be honest X'D My school is off at the moment, so I have had a lot of time to work on cosplays! And it's driving me nuts by now.. Being locked in your room, is only fun the first three weeks... seriously. 

BUT luckily I have amazing friends who occasionally have come over and kept me company, and I have been out of the room.. a few... times... To get food... Yes. 

No actually, last weekend I was at a party at Le Mustache house - which was totally great<3 We had a fun time drinking and being silly :D It was a themed party, and I decided to go as an elve.. thing x'D 

  Scary thing was, I was writing with my good friend Lavi while doing my make up, and right as I was putting my ears on, she announced that she was going for an elve look as well.... We think too much a like! ... I look so naked in that damn picture >:C

Other than making WCS cosplay - ... Have I even talked about WCS here? I don't think so oo Shame on me! ... That, will be another time XD 

Anyway, besides making those cosplays, I have been on a huge Disney hype.. same time as last year, maybe it's a winter/spring thing? Anyway, I'm so excited about Disney, and I have like a hundred costumes I want to make from there *q* Oh money, Y U NO HERE?

I wish I could show some of the things I have been working on.. But they secret.. So.. Sorry BD

ANYWAY - Hope it won't take me that long to write here again! .. Actually I know it won't, cause it's my birthday on friday.. So I will be showing of presents - HUR!

Zap! Nearly didn't avoid that hit. OH! Run, run for your life and don't look back! 

Run as fast as you can, and - .. Okay you should have kept your eyes on that big pile of tomatoes.

I have been inside my own room for a week now, watching exciting adventures on my telly.. It makes a girl a bit crazy, okay? So yaerh.. I may have had a little adventure on my own, when I finally came out of my closed up box... In Netto...

To be fair, it was great fun actually! Until I walked into the stag of tomatoes... Okay - moving on! 

Or really not moving on, kind of the same topic or the reason for my little adventure run. You know that feeling when you are watching a really good film, the feeling of all your adrenalin pumping and the need to be part of the awesomness you are seeing? Yaerh, try sitting 5 days straight on with that! It really does something to my head, and god.. It just reproves my love for TV, films and the magic in it! From when I was about 10 years old I wanted to be a film director.. I actually thought my love for this business had lifted off, but nope.. I found it again! And.. I am just writing here to tell whoever may be reading this, that I some day will be working with film/TV<3 Be it as runner, actor or director.. I don't care, I just want to make magic man<3

Holy smoky I'm back from London! 
It was an A M A Z I N G trip and I am so thankful for the girls I went with, good lord it was perfect~ Can't wait to go back to that city! 

I'll make a entry for each day, cause there is so much to say about them! And I'll properly mix up a lot of the things and days.. x'D 

I apologize for any spelling mistakes.. I couldn't be bothered to go trough it all X'D

HELL YAERH - GOING TO LONDON WEDNESDAY! 

Sooo excited, I don't even! Sometimes I just really love my life.. I just had an amazing weekend with Lavi, helping her out with some of her costumes and boy... it was so nice not to work on my own but someone else's X'D You really get more done, hurhur. But we really had a good time, loves that little monkey<3 

And then after such a great weekend, I get to spend more awesome time in London with cool people *w*

We will be geeking out the entire time, and I can't waaaait! I'll bring my camera so I can get a lot of photos and video~ 

And that was it! A small update to say that life is could and you should remember that~

School work

You know that feeling, when you are supposed to be doing something.. and all you found yourself doing, is everything else? 

At this moment I am supposed to be writing on my school project, and I just can't... XD I want to be done, but at the same time I want this project to be as good as it can be, which means I don't want to just write something.. So I end up doing nothing about it..

But well... Then I will just write here - HA. So I will show you guys what I am doing right now for the project.
I am working on a dress, and right now drawing my process of the pattern I made, and how I developed it. It doesn't really make sense for you guys I think, but I felt like sharing it anyway XD The few writings on it is in danish, sorry about that but well... I AM a dane after all x'D The parts with red stripes is to be removed, and you can see in the next picture how that turned out (;

So, this was it for my escape from actually working on the stuff.. Once I am done with all of this, I will get started on cosplays - can't wait! Will get started on first costume set for the WCS very soon, wuuh!
