The big thank you speach

Okay, so for a long time I have been wanting to write a proper J-popcon report! Or.. just share more thoughts on it guess.. But it isn't until now I feel I can actually express myself properly xD

Be warned; Lots of sobbines  gratitude ahead!

Okay so, actually all of this started long before J-popcon itself. Yoshu and I started working on our cosplays in end august, where we went on the first big shopping spree of fabric and stuff. From there on we started with the act and all that.. but I don't really want to go into detail about all that, as it really isn't interesting xD
The thing I wanted to point out from this, is that already here we had wonderful friends who helped us! Not just with act, costume and all that, but also just by being there and listening when I whined and all that<3 So a big thanks goes to Bára, Barbara, Lavi, Sørine, Emi and Shinji, just for the listening, love you guys!

Seriously, I can't say how much all of my friends have helped me, and my parents too! I consider myself SO lucky, to actually have parents that thinks what I do is cool and loves to help me.. how lucky can a person be?<3 My dad helped a lot with the construction of our prop, and I love him for that! Cause the thing I had plan to begin with, was... yaerh just plain stupid XD

So.. jumping forward in time, and going to J-pop. Friday was for once really nice and laid back! For once we didn't have to go to a cosplay meeting, didn't have to get something filmed and well.. we had the day off! So we just walked around, meeting friends and having a good time<3 We also went to the dealer room, and gosh it was so awesome this year!! All of my friendshad so effing rocking cosplays on this day!

Some of them ;D

And then we go to saturday.. oh what a day! I can't say that much about it really, I don't know how the hell to use my words! Once again my friends showed how amazing they are, by just being there to help us ;w;! The biggest thanks have to go to Emi, Barbara, Lavi and Sørine who just ran after anything we asked them too, and without making a fuss of it! And a HUGE thanks to my dad who drove to Copenhagen with our stuff, on his birthday<3 LOVE YOU DAD!
Seriously, it wasn't just the girls mentioned above here that helped us, pretty much everyone backstage was having a good time, and willing to help each other which just makes me happy! ONE HAPPY COSPLAY NATION.

The show was fantastic this year, and I'm sad I didn't get to see more of it! See.. because of my huge ass bow, and dress, I couldn't sit on the chairs in front of the stage, so I was sitting out at the side of the stage.. so from the side, it looked good!

I had absolutely no time sense that day, and  I had barely eaten.. so when it came to the award ceremony, I was SO tired and hungry, that I was almost sleeping.. Like... yaerh OTL I think Mara was there to keep me on my feet x'D But when all the winners started to get announced I woke up, cause I had to clap and scream like crazy! All the winners deserved it, and I am SO proud of all my friends who won!!<3<3<3 (In general, I am just very blessed with amazing friends.. LOVE!)
And then the biggest surprise of the evening; YOSHU AND I WON WCS QUALIFICATIONS!!
First thing that happened when they announced it, I just remember screams from people around me - and then a sea of arms hugging me X'D ... and then I started to sob. Muhaaaa.
We went on stage and got out prize and got to thanks the judges and.. well jaerh just be awkward on stage, yay!
After this we were so tired an confused, oh and looking awful, so of course we had to out for a dinner with a lot of beautiful people x'DD But it was super cozy, and I got to talk to some of the judges<3 LOVE YOU~

So... let this be the end of a huge ramble about loving people~!

Short update~

It's starting to come along with the J-pop costumes, finally! I'm working on it everyday, and I have a tiny hope that I will be done by next week~
I'll just do a photo dump, so I can get back to work!

That's what I got of pictures on my Granado Espada costume so far (;

Then for my Friday cosplay; Shizuma from Strawberry Panic. I will be cosplaying this with Tati as Nagisa <3

I need to make the collar and style the wig, then this cosplay will be dooone~<3

Once again, excuse the mess that I live in.. it shows how my mind works when I'm working on a project x'D

But that's all for this time folks!

J-pop progress

Okay.. First of all, the reason I have been hesitating to show what costume I am making for this years J-popcon cosplayshow, is that I am afraid that people will expect a great deal from me.. But now I just kinda thought: Screw it BD
And just let you people know that I am in no way a pro, so I am just doing my best and having fun with it<3
So without further ado;

Here is my character for this years cosplayshow! She's a female warlock/Elementalist from the game "Granado Espada".
I chose her, because I really love the idea of a character that can control magic and elements~

I am going to perform with Yoshu (Oh what a chock huh? X'D) but I don't know if she wants to show her character, so I won't get further into that >3

We started on the costumes about.. 2-3 weeks ago I think we were on our first trip of spend-all-your-money BD I have gotten pretty far with mine, and is fairly satisfied!

This is how far I have gotten with my "shirt"/"top" ^^ I need to make the sleeves, some finishing touches to the collar and get gold buttons and chains on the white part in the front (: And yes, it's hard to get it to stay on the hanger, so it makes it look pretty ugly x'D

This is the skirt before I got it trimmed, and the shirt as it looked a while ago x'D And yes the flower was highly needed, I make the most horrible faces when taking a picture. Oh you can see my shoes for the costumes, in the horrible mess by my feet... Yes sir.

Beside this, I have been helping out Yoshu a bit with hers, and then I am working on the necklace for her costume right now, as I couldn't resist it... I love pearls ;w; So shiny.
Oh and then stones for some of my jewelry~

Oh and yesterday we got signed up for the show<3 Now we just need to make the soundtrack and script, then we are good to go~

Hope you people out there is enjoying life!

Lights, music, curtain – Action.

Words, whispered with excitement and joy, as you open your eyes and get yourself ready to be taken in. Taken in, be it by words, music, dance or just silence you are about to watch. Be it at the movies, or at a theatre play..

Even when I was young, I was enchanted by those on stage.. Those who were able to tell me an emotion with a few words, a hand gesture or even just a look in the eyes. My love for watching plays and movies has over the years grown and I admire the people behind it more and more. To think, that some are able to reach out trough a screen or across the scene, and touch a complete strangers heart.. What a gift and talent.

One of these talents, that properly in the end has the biggest impact on me, is Dirch Hartvig Passer. Since I remember I have watched the sketches he has done, listened to his songs and watched his movies over and over again. The man never seized to amaze me, as he could make everybody laugh with such joy. Often I would try to impersonate him as younger. I studied how he moved, how his facial expressions went and even the way he talked. I wanted to have his gift, of making people laugh and be happy. A silly thing really, being prepared to make a complete fool out of yourself, just to get some cheap laughs..

The reason for me to be writing this, is because I just got home from watching the film that has been made about him. “Dirch”. It showed some of his life with the shows, his lack of confidence within and some of the most tragic things that happened to him. I knew the story of him before watching the film, but it still broke my heart to pieces. Nikolaj Lie Kaas who portrayed him, did such a fantastic job that I can’t even describe it.. As well as every other actor in this movie.
I am happy that I read one of Dirchs ex wifes saying, that the movie was more dramatic than what actually happened, before watching the movie. Cause had I not, I would properly be even more sad about it.
But despite seeing all of this, I still admire him. I still think he was the most wonderful actor, and I don’t think I will ever see someone I can compare to him.

The movie is heartbreaking amazing, and I really hope I will be able to see it once more.

I don’t know if any of this makes sense, I hope it did.. just a bit.
